  Eleven to fourteen hours of swimming, hard downclimbs and narrows tight enough to want a headlamp. RopeWiki's verdict is that for the advanced canyoneer Choprock takes the cake for best in the area.

  Three slots off Early Weed Bench, reached by a five mile backpack rather than a walk from the car. RopeWiki rates the middle one the best of the three, ending on a 90 foot mostly free hanging rappel.

  Neon Canyon

  The final rappel drops through a hole in the roof of the Golden Cathedral, about 80 feet with roughly half of it free hanging, into an alcove that day hikers walk up the Escalante to photograph.
