Water moves through Iragna's upper canyon year round, so check the flow before committing to four rappels that top out around 40 meters. Wetsuits are standard kit here.
There are bail points partway through the middle section and again near the end if conditions turn, useful on a canyon that runs wet all year. Carry two 45 meter ropes for the rappels; the exit drops you almost straight into Iragna village with small roadside parking (see permit).
