The final kilometre before the Dumbano junction is the best stretch, with sculpted walls that stay one to three metres wide the whole way; the kilometre above that is still worth visiting, and the third kilometre thins into shallower sections. Expect long swims and log jams on the way down. The canyon has been run without a rope, but a 20 metre rope is recommended since some jams need ropework to pass safely. Watch for the Dumbano junction: it comes in from behind on the left and is easy to miss while you are dealing with boulders in the creek bed.
