Boggera runs long and slide heavy, thirty five rappels over five to eight hours, with the middle section reduced to stagnant pools in a normal summer. When neighboring canyons blow out from rain, this one still goes.
A pothole partway through the descent can lose its handline; send someone down first to confirm it is rigged and that they can prusik back out before the group commits. If it looks wrong, skip the pothole by staying high off the previous rappel. OFIBLE's mandatory call in and out applies here too (see permit).
