Ziocu

verified Ungraded Unknown flood risk Soccia, Corse-du-Sud

Ziocu runs open and sunny above Soccia for most of its length, tightening into one true narrows at the midpoint before a deflating thirty minute boulder march to the lower bridge.

A 2023 municipal order restricts descent to June 1 through September 30, from 9am to 6pm, caps groups at twelve, not counting guides, and requires entry and exit only at the blue trail markers. It also specifies wetsuit, helmet, harness with a double dynamic lanyard, and a descender as mandatory gear. On the walk out, keep to the left bank: at least one published Corsican guidebook has the return route on the wrong side of the river.
