Wadi Numeira

verified ACA 2A Extreme flood risk Karak, JO

A non-technical walk-through siq with 150 m walls and 5 m width, one of the deepest narrow ratios in Jordan outside Mujib.

Access from Highway 65: 26.2 km north from Karak to Mazra Junction, then 13.3 km to a monument near the bridge over the wadi. Turnaround is where the gorge widens and the floor opens to scree; conditions change frequently due to flash floods, so the trail underfoot drifts year to year. No swimming required, but bring water shoes; the bed varies between gravel and boulders.
