Wadi Mujib (Siq Trail)

verified ACA 3C Extreme flood risk Madaba, JO

Jordan's signature canyoneering trail: an upstream wade and fixed-rope scramble through a deep sandstone siq that spills into the Dead Sea, run as a ticketed RSCN experience.

Adventure Centre is at the bridge where the Dead Sea Highway crosses the Mujib outlet, about 90 minutes south of Amman. Show up early; slots fill. Bring water shoes and dry bag. The Canyon Trail and Malaqi Trail are longer guide-required variants of the same drainage starting from inland trailheads; if you want the harder day, book those, not Siq.
