Tinnitus

Short enough that most parties pair it with a neighbor, and it finishes with an 80 foot rappel through a dark cave into a maidenhair fern garden above Lake Powell.

Rig your exit before you commit. Unless a boat is meeting you at the lake, you fix a line from the rim: either off the crack system above the final rappel, which makes it a two stage ascent, or a single 200 foot line from the canyon opening. The first rappel drops straight into a keeper pothole, so toss potshots before you set the sandtrap. Between there and the end are wading, swimming, and tight sections that ask for stemming about 20 feet off the floor. Hikers who did not arrange a boat go back up the drainage or the slickrock ridge to the north.
