SevenUp
No rappels and a great deal of exposure. SevenUp is a stemming canyon, the hardest of the three Sand Slide Slots, and Road Trip Ryan rates it R+ leaning toward X.
Michael Kelsey documented these canyons in his Henry Mountains guidebook with numbers instead of names, and the current names are Road Trip Ryan working those numbers into words. Of the three, Five for the Drive is worth doing only as the upclimb approach to the others, Six Appeal is a consistent steady angle slot that suits beginners under competent leadership, and SevenUp is the one that needs intermediate skills or better. Linking them runs about 5.8 miles and 3 to 6 hours depending on the loop you pick. High clearance for the access. A 33 foot rope is useful only as a handline for a nervous beginner; there is nothing here to rappel, and the hazard is falling out of a stem, not water. Little to no water in these canyons and flash flood risk is rated moderate.
