Rio Correntoso (Los Riscos)

verified Ungraded Moderate flood risk Pucon, Araucania

Three-rappel gorge descent (9 to 12 m) on the Rio Correntoso in the Los Riscos sector 25 minutes from Pucon, the more canyon-shaped of the two main Pucon commercial canyoning options.

Operator-permissioned access only; not open to independent parties without arrangement. Together with Salto El Claro this is the canyoneering pair that defines the Pucon volcanic-canyoning offering. The wider Pucon region also has substantial kayak-canon overlap on the Palguin and Fuy rivers, with the famous 25 m Salto Palguin and a number of named waterfall drops on the Upper Palguin used by kayakers; those are not commercially run as canyoneering descents.
