A 5 hour vertical-water descent in the Mangart drainage above Log pod Mangartom, more committing than nearby Fratarica.
Sister canyon to Fratarica geographically but a different character: shuttle required, the IV exit grade flags it as committing once past the upper rappels. The trailhead area is shared with several other Mangart-area descents; confirm route with a recent trip report before going in.

Predelica is one of three canyons named in the Ministerial Decrees on the restriction of visits (Official Gazette No 19/24), alongside Fratarica and Jerecica. A canyoning infrastructure fee of 3 EUR per person is paid through the same application. Group size is capped at 9 including the guide, descent is daylight only because night canyoning is prohibited, and commercial groups must have a wild water rescuer present. Access is restricted to the marked path from the Predel to Bovec road at the bridge over the Mangartski potok down to the riverbed. |
