Also known as Silent Pool Canyon, a roughly 100 metre slot that squeezes the Nymboida River down to about a metre wide before it opens into the locally well known Silent Pool.
The catchment is a big 80 square kilometres for such a short canyon, and the narrowest sections create real hazards: whole body entrapment is possible and rescue would be near impossible. It has been rigged to route around most of the danger, but floods reshape it, so carry bolting kit. The canyon sits inside the Bagul Waajarr Nature Reserve, which is itself surrounded by private land with no public right of way, so access means arranging permission with the neighboring landowners through Canyoning Australia.
