Nortosce
Twelve rappels thread a dry, little known limestone gorge (locally Maiolica) below the village of Nortosce, mixing natural rock anchors with resin bolts and chain. The route was rebolted in January 2025 after a landslide swept away the anchors on the third from last rappel.
From the village, park where you can and walk toward the church; a passage under an archway a few steps further leads into the woods and down to the streambed, which has no real trail. Depending on your line, expect to rig a rappel or two before even reaching the water. The gorge exits into the Corno river, which has to be crossed to reach the lower parking: wade it, cross the dam upstream, or find the fallen tree that bridges it downstream. RopeWiki's own info field says no permit is required, but suggests contacting the Terni speleological group (Gruppo Speleologico di Terni) for current beta.
