Slot Canyon Atlas

AtlasMontenegro - Durmitor

Nevidio

verified Ungraded Extreme flood risk Šavnik (or Žabljak for Durmitor base)

Montenegro's flagship canyoning descent, a 3 hour limestone slot in the upper Komarnica deep in Durmitor National Park.

Run as a commercial canyoning trip almost exclusively. Anitra (anitra-mne.com) and Montenegro+ are the established operators. Wetsuits provided. The route is bracketed by short narrow sections with overhead-clearance squeezes, hence the name (Nevidio means 'unseen'). The longer Komarnica river canyon below is a separate raft/expedition trip, not part of this descent.
