High flood risk
Stovepipe Wells, CA
Tucki Mountain slot polished to a sheen by flash floods, with marble and mosaic-breccia walls that draw a constant trickle of Stovepipe Wells day hikers.
First half mile is the famous polished marble narrows. Beyond that the canyon opens, then re-narrows at a 25 ft dry fall most parties cannot pass without ropework. The road in is graded gravel off Stovepipe Wells; not the place to test a low-clearance rental.
