Meadow Hot Spring

verified Ungraded Unknown flood risk Meadow, UT

Not a canyon at all: spring fed pools in a Millard County field, the deepest one clear enough to see 20 feet down to the bottom. Climb-Utah puts the water at about 100 degrees.

The land is private and open on the owner's goodwill, so the rules are the owner's: no soap or shampoo, no dogs, and keep your clothes on. Road Trip Ryan's 2024 update describes the meadow worn into a muddy parking lot by people driving as close to the pools as they can get; park at the lot and walk. The main pool drops away steeply and is a free diving pool rather than a wading one, so treat the depth seriously. Bring drinking water, since a long soak dehydrates. The trailhead is reachable by any vehicle year round.
