Park system blends Aparados da Serra NP (Itaimbezinho side) and Serra Geral NP (Malacara, Fortaleza side); operationally treated as one canyoneering region from Praia Grande. The X grade is not casual. 3C IV X with twelve hours in the canyon means a full commitment day with no easy bail.

Technical	Nineteen rappels in basalt with a maximum single drop of 190 feet. Significant flow below the confluence points. Native v-grade v6a4 VI, ACA on ropewiki 3C IV X. Long shuttle (about one hour). Considered by many the best canyon in Brazil.
Flood risk	Swift water through the entire descent. Flow multiplies past the confluences. The X exposure rating reflects the combined commitment and water hazard.
