Kanangra Main is one of the highlights of Australian canyoneering: seventeen rappels running almost continuously from pool to pool, the longest around 60 metres.
Full day commitment, most parties budget around 12 hours car to car. Two ways down: via the Wall on river right, starting from a large tree anchor, or via the Slot, a very vertical line that drops beside the waterfall and crosses its impact zone, best avoided if the river gauge reads above 350 ML a day. However you go in, the exit is a 30 to 45 minute creek walk down to the confluence with Kalang Canyon, then a climb up Manslaughter Ridge to the south. No permit or red tape here, per RopeWiki.
