Alternate entry into Poe. Be prepared for Pit of Despair and the Wart rappel.
Class 4 and leave no trace clean all the way to the confluence with Poe, which means you build and retrieve everything above that point. The grade is X rather than R: the exposure is what earns it. A party of five took twelve hours in 2019. Budget roughly an hour from the confluence to the Pit of Despair, then the Wart. There is poison ivy at the exit, so cover up or pay for it for a week. Overnight parking on the Burr Trail Road for the Kingdom Route needs a permit from the Capitol Reef visitor center, the parking boundary is specific enough that RopeWiki publishes a coordinate for it (37.61615, -110.79873), and unauthorized vehicles get towed. Spring or fall only.
