A landmark rather than a descent: RopeWiki files this as a point of interest, and its only beta link resolves to Road Trip Ryan's Volcano / Cosmic Ashtray route in the Red Breaks country north of Hole-in-the-Rock Road.

The listed 5 to 7 hours matches Road Trip Ryan's Old Sheffield Road approach, 7.3 miles round trip, rather than the shorter Harris Wash line. Either way the roads have to be dry, and there is a sandy patch about half a mile short of the trailhead that stops low clearance 2WD; walking that stretch is a legitimate option. Carry every drop of water you plan to drink, there is none out there. Take a GPS and the coordinates: people have walked within a hundred feet of the feature and missed it entirely. If you intend to drop into the bowl, bring a 40 m rope, because getting back out is the part that traps people. Summer is punishing and snow makes the slickrock approach slippery, which leaves fall, spring and dry winter days.
