Havgas

verified ACA 3B I Moderate flood risk Kavousi, Lasithi

A tidy two hour limestone gorge above Kavousi with a 49 ft maximum rappel, short enough to pair with a second Lasithi canyon in one day.

Sits about a kilometre from Mesonas, already in this atlas, so the two are natural same day partners out of Kavousi. Not to be confused with the separate ropewiki Kaviousou page, which is a different canyon roughly 45 km west in Heraklion. Rated 2.9 out of 5 by six ropewiki users. Most recent ropewiki condition report dates to 24 Feb 2015. Red tape field is blank.
