Happy Canyon
Sculpted narrows that get compared to Antelope Canyon, reached only after wading the Dirty Devil River and a hike Road Trip Ryan says most people underestimate.
The canyon is easy; the day is not. The Burr Point version runs about 13.5 miles and 9 to 12 hours, and parties routinely turn back short of the narrows or finish in the dark. The Dirty Devil crossing is usually under knee deep and can reach waist deep outside flood stage, which means the river, not the slot, is what stops you after rain. Poison Spring is a much shorter hike on a worse road. RopeWiki now says Burr Point is not required at all: an old mining road gives a non technical walk in of about three miles each way. Light is the reason to be there and the canyon bends enough that different sections turn on at different hours, so do not rush the middle.
