Glaucoma Canyon
The hardest canyon on Ticaboo Mesa and one of the shortest: high stemming, silo crossings, upclimbs and a crux downclimb inside three miles.
Rated X and it earns it. There are no rappels in the descent; the 180 feet of rope is for the escape line you rig from the rim before you drop in, off a cairn anchor, or 200 feet if you wrap the hoodoo instead. Set that line first, then walk back to the head. The crux downclimb high in the canyon is the most dangerous move of the day and at least one person has to downclimb it, since everyone else can be lowered off a partner. Below it the walls flare and you step across a gap over darkness. The mousetrap can be crossed high with a groundfall consequence, or bypassed by going back up canyon, dropping to the floor and crawling under it. RopeWiki reads it as a step up from Psycho D and as preparation for PINTAC, which is the right way to think about it.
