Torrent Fondo runs dry most of the year, but its final third narrows into a polished slot that exits through a cliff breach above Collbato, the best stretch of an otherwise plain streambed.
A pair of 25 meter ropes plus a rescue line cover the technical stretch; neoprene is not needed since the bed stays dry outside exceptional rain. The Drecera de Fra Gari shortcut from Collbato's Pau Bertran street is quicker than the old monastery trail. There is no real escape once past the first two thirds, so the finish along the Cami de les Feixades to Cova del Salnitre is the intended exit, not a bailout option.
