Chipitin's final feature is a two stage travertine rappel of nearly 300 feet into a mossy grotto, reached after a 35 foot toboggan slide through the lower gorge. The upper section adds four more rappels, but the stream there runs dry most years by May.

The canyon empties directly into Hidrofobia for parties continuing on a longer day. Poison oak grows throughout, and a local may ask 60 pesos per person near the trailhead. A guide requirement and a winter closure both applied in years past but are no longer in effect. Lifejackets are required and enforced, if loosely, by Proteccion Civil.
