Bell Creek

verified Ungraded Unknown flood risk Mount Wilson, NSW

A long day out that skips the rope entirely. Bell Creek trades rappels for tricky climb downs and some of the best narrow constrictions in the Blue Mountains.

No rope is strictly required, though a 30 metre hand line is worth carrying for anyone unsteady on the climb downs, and a wetsuit is recommended. Budget seven to nine hours: this is a full day at 3.5 kilometres of creek. Exit at the junction with Du Faurs Creek, head upstream about 800 metres, then climb out via Joes Canyon.
