AfriCanyon Route (The Crags)

verified Ungraded Moderate flood risk Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape

The Garden Route's accessible commercial canyoning operation, a guided descent on an operator-controlled kloof near Plettenberg Bay with waterfall rappels, swims, and an unusual rock-pool zip-line.

Included as a documented commercial South African canyoning option, not as an independent descent. AfriCanyon does not publish the specific watercourse name, abseil count, or grade publicly. The atlas's editorial position is that this is the most-visited canyoning experience on the Garden Route, but anyone planning serious independent canyoneering in the Cape should focus on Hottentots Holland or the Magaliesberg kloof complex instead.
